A New Direction

How do we make the Tri-Cities, the place we live, better?

More to the point, how do we start the world we want right here in the Tri-Cities? It has everything that should make it the best place to live the American Dream.

I built this site because I thought our community was absurd!

We had lunatics running for office. Kennewick’s mayor had personal issues, and supposedly fiscally conservative people were helping themselves to the trough of government funding with Trump’s PPP loans.

This broke my heart, and my reaction was to lash out at everything. To go Charlie Hebdo on the world.

It was fun being a “one-man Onion,” I had a good time making images and building a subscriber base. Unfortunately, I lost steam because one can only stay outraged for so long.

The class clown doesn’t build things.

I want to make my community better. I want to create something we can be proud of.

The name is perfect: We Tri Hard. Without cynicism or irony, I want to take our community and make something magnificent with it.

So, we’re pivoting.

Once a week, we’ll have a show that shares:

• Someone working hard to make the Tri-Cities a better place in a human way.
• Something great to do here in the TC.
• An Original Business that is a local treasure (not a chain, sorry)
• A Community Organization here in the Tri-Cities that’s doing a good job.
• A quick essay about what future we can build together or an opportunity.

Our work will be non-partisan, and we will put out 45 shows a year celebrating this place.
